ABOUT
ANIMALS2 follows up s.legg's 2017 solo "animals" with more powerful and challenging animal-themed works from the conceptual artist. As snarling and biting as his work can be, empathy, self-reflection, and responsibility are central to his creations. Once again the show is dedicated to his soul dog Oscar.
This time, however, the human-animal conversation is expanded with works from an all-local pack of artists, offering up a variety of psychological, emotional, and stylistic takes on the subject. Featuring s.legg, Janelle Anderson, Emily Wilcox, Koko Bayer, Susan Blake, Raymundo Munoz, Tom Bond, and Summer Sleight.
40% of all sales from the show + donations will benefit 501 c(3) non-profit Planned Pethood International and their mission of reducing companion animal overpopulation worldwide.
